On January 5th Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi officially quit the Elite and re-joined the Bullet Club, when they helped the Guerrillas of Destiny and Ishimori retain the Never Open Six Man Tag Titles. This makes sense considering the departure of The Elite members Cody, The Young Bucks, and Hangman Page. Now that is out of the way, Owens has officially re-signed with New Japan Wrestling. "Happy to announce I have signed my first official contract in the wrestling business and am now signed with NJPW," Owens proclaimed on Social Media.
October 18th 2013 Chase Owens caught the attention of New Japan Pro Wrestling for the first time when he defeated Jason Kincaid to regain the NWA Worlds Junior Heavyweight Championship at NWA Houston's Invasion which featured scouts and talent from New Japan Pro Wrestling. During this time, Owens was becoming one of the hottest attractions for the promotion ow called Innovative Pro Wrestling. Also would start making appearances in Canada for Canadian's Wrestling Elite and Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling (that would tour China). Owens would begin to defend the NWA Jr. Championship in New Japan before ultimately losing the championship to the Legend Jushin "Thunder" Liger. Owens would be invited back to Japan to compete in the Super Juniors Tournament. In 2015 Owens would often be paired with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, becoming a full fledged member of the Bullet Club. Until recently, Owens would compete in Innovative and CWE regularly. No word how exclusive the contract Owens signed, but its expected he'd still compete for his base promotions in between tours of New Japan.
